About the Mid-Western Cancer Foundation
The Mid Western Cancer Foundation was established in 2007 by Professor Rajnish. K. Gupta, Consultant Medical Oncologist and Director of Cancer Services at the University Hospital Limerick.
The Mid Western Cancer Foundation was first opened at University Hospital Limerick before moving to its current location in Mungret College on the outskirts of Limerick City in July 2025. The foundation was established to streamline donations and aims is to provide holistic care for patients with Cancer and support research in the Mid-West region.
Our vision is of a community where no one faces cancer alone and every person affected by cancer in the Mid-West has access to timely, compassionate, holistic support.
Our mission is to provide free, accessible, and person-centred support services for individuals and families affected by cancer across the Mid-West region, improving wellbeing, resilience, and quality of life throughout treatment, and recovery.
