As all our Board members are volunteers we are heavily reliant on public donations. If you are interested in fundraising for the Mid-Western Cancer Foundation, please contact our office to register your intention to fund raise so that support and advice may be given to you.
As we rely on the generosity of people’s donations and fundraising events, we need your support all year round.
Upon registration we will provide:
- Sealed collection buckets,
- Signs
- Sponsorship cards and t-shirts
- Pens
- Information about the Mid-Western Cancer Foundation
- Acknowledgement letter

The Kiely family, Michael, Helen, Mike, Lavinia, Karen and Keith presenting a cheque to Lisa Tracey in the amount of €2,130. The proceeds were raised from Mike's recent head shave which took place in Razor's Barbers, Thomondgate.

Peter McInerney and Bella Boyle Tourish presenting a cheque to Lisa Tracey in the amount of €2,251.39. The proceeds were raised by Peter taking part in the 2016 Dublin City Marathon.

Anne Kinsella, John Carroll and Catherine McSweeney presenting a cheque in the amount of €350 to Lisa Tracey. The proceeds were raised by John Carroll and James McCarthy (Southill Men's Shed) who participated in a waxathon in July 2016.

Pat Ward and Robert Mulcahy presenting a cheque to Lisa Tracey in the amount of €4,265. The proceeds were raised by holding a darts competition along with a music and BBQ evening, which was held in Mulcahy's Bar, Caherconlish, Co. Limerick in June.

Ger McNamara, President of Old Crescent RFC, presenting a cheque in the amount of €1,500 to Lisa Tracey, Mid-Western Cancer Foundation along with players Jack O'Neill, Larry Hanly and John O'Dwyer. "Old Crescent RFC held a Christmas Carol Collection in the Crescent Shopping Centre in December 2015

Radisson Blu Hotel & Spa donated a cheque for €1,300 which were the proceeds from a bed push from the Ennis Road to the Mid-Western Cancer Centre in Oct 2010

Limerick Shannon Rotary Club presented a cheque to Prof. Gupta (Chairperson). They raised €10,000 by organising various events including a church gate collection in 2010.

Brid Bradshaw took part in a Charity Boxing event on 10th July 2010 in the Radisson Hotel, Ennis Road, Limerick where she won her fight for a €1,000 purse for the Mid-Western Cancer Foundation

Gerry O’Doherty, Maggs O’Rourke and Eimear O’Doherty presenting a cheque to Prof. Gupta which were the proceeds from “Hellys Angels” Great Limerick Run. “Helly’s Angels” was organised by Eimear O’Doherty & friends in memory of her mum the late Mrs. Helen O’Doherty. The total raised was €12,111.30. - 2011.

Mr. Michael Kiely presenting a cheque to Lisa Tracey for €1,000. Michael wrote and recorded “The Guy With The Broken Heart” and to date has raised €2,000, he has kindly donated the proceeds between The Mid-Western Cancer Foundation and MIford Hospice

Leo Kirby, Frank Haugh and Noel Noonan, presenting a cheque to Lisa Tracey in the amount of €2,506, which were proceeds from the Jingle all the way to Charity 5K fundraiser which was held in the University of Limerick on Saturday 6th December 2014

Students from Our Lady Queen of Peace National School, Caherdavin presenting a cheque to Lisa Tracey for €100. The class participated in the Junior Entrepreneur Programme for Limerick and set up a company called Lipalicious Lip Balm and sold their products in the school. They donated part of their proceeds to the Foundation as many of their families have been affected by cancer. Well done girls what a great achievement! - 2014.

Frank Riordan, Liam Foley, Gerry Manning and John O'Shaughnessy from West Limerick Vintage Club presenting a cheque in the amount of €3,500 to Lisa Tracey along with Dr. Osman Consultant Medical Oncologist and Shirley Baker Oncology Liaison Nurse. The money was raised from their Annual Vintage Show and Family Fun Day which was held on Sunday 6th September 2015 at The Thatch Bar, Newbridge, Askeaton.
